I’m talking about like when people say “He’s fake” or I’m real. What are the definitions for this “fake” and this “real”
Dictionary definition of fake: something that is a counterfeit; not what it seems to be
Dictionary definition of real: no less than what is stated; worthy of the name
these are one of the few.
But to me fake and real are complicated. People say real is being true to yourself but then again turn around and call you fake for not going with there suggestions. To me being real is more than just a title. It’s a feeling and state of being and a honor to be called one by someone other than yourself. Real is in a sense a way of life it is being true to yourself knowing what your capable of and your limits and in a world full of “fakeness” real people tend to have a very hard time.
This brings up the question what is fake?
Something that is counterfeit or not what it seems to be. And I totally agree. Fake is something that is NOT what it seems to be. So when I call someone fake it’s because they are acting or portraying a image that is not how they really are to me. The biggest point in my definition. TO ME. Same with real.
But with this new twitter sensation I can honestly say it is bringing out the best and worst in people. I often find my self unfollowing “friends’ and following strangers. The fake and the real topic shines online. I’ve seen sooooo many tweets from people which do not reflect the lifestyle in which I’ve seen being with them and I don’t know if it should bother me or not but now it is a little.. but back on topic of fake and real. What is it? How would you define it?
